NBT with Children, Youth, and Families is one of our specialized courses included in the Level 2 or Level 3 Certification Programs.

Join us for an experiential immersion into the possibilities that Nature-based therapy can hold in your work with children, youth and families.  The course is held at Power To Be’s Prospect Lake, a place where many families have built connections with nature and each other.  In this inspiring location, we will play, practice, and grow our capacity to support children, youth, and families within a relational connection to self, family, and Earth.  Be prepared to build a community with like-minded family practitioners, engage in self-reflection, practice interventions, role-play, and explore your own personal relationship to the non-human Natural World.

This course is designed to move beyond the general application of Nature-based theory into an in-depth exploration of framing, invitations, and therapeutic processing to support children, youth and families in moving toward healing and growth.  The goal of this training is for participants to leave feeling confident in their ability to draw from a breadth of tools when turning to nature as co-therapist in supporting family change.  This course is for you if you have an applied understanding of Nature-based Therapy and are now ready to specialize in advanced skills around the application of Nature-Based Therapy with children, youth and families.  Participants will learn and practice interventions they can apply right away with clients.
