Waves of Change Program
Do you experience anxiety or worry? Is stress getting in the way of your daily life and goals? Do you feel like you are the only one suffering? You are not alone.
Waves of Change is aimed toward young women (19-30) who identify anxiety as a barrier in their lives and are looking to develop resources and coping strategies to help them manage anxiety and stress (an official diagnosis of anxiety disorder is not required). This program fosters positive mental health through enhancing both physical activity and social connectedness in the lives of young women. It takes a holistic health perspective and builds resiliency and skills which can hopefully be integrated into the women’s lives moving forward.
Spanning over an eight month time period, we will incorporate nature connection, physical activity, social support, personal goal setting, psycho-education, and mindfulness activities through bi-weekly group meetings (2 times per month) culminating in a two night three-day wilderness adventure in June.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there is no transportation available. Participants must find their own way to program locations.
We are hosting an info-zoom session for interested persons on October 15th (NEXT WEEK) from 6-8 PM. Please contact Sarah Duncan at 250-510-5298 or firstname.lastname@example.org to register for that meeting. You must attend that meeting as part of the intake process.
